Hubby and I decided it was time to escape the cold Connecticut weather and spend a few days in a warm (somewhat tropical) place. Miami seemed like the best option for several reasons:

- Short Flight (under 3 hours);

- Weather (temperature was around 80F);

- Museums and Art (Miami is known for its Design and Art Districts);

- The Food (lots of food options including Cuban);

- The Beaches (Miami has miles of public white sand beaches).

We flew into Orlando instead of Miami to be able to visit more places on our way down to Miami which ended up being such a fun adventure.

We started off in Harbor Isle Marina (Causeway Island), it was so sunny, peaceful and beautiful. I loved the weather on that first day, it was warm and barely any wind. I was in need of some vitamin D! I remember feeling so happy with the warmth from the sun touching my skin.

As soon as we got to Miami, we went to Miami Beach for a walk by the water. Even though the skies were a little dark, it was still super nice out and we had the most amazing afternoon. We sat on sand and watching the birds fly and feed in the ocean. It was incredibly relaxing!

Still can't believe how blue the ocean is in Miami Beach!

It was such a beautiful afternoon and truly recharged our batteries. I did not know what to expect, so I was throughly surprised by the skyscrapers, the white sand, the light blue waters and the temperature. Day 1 was a success!

Thank you for stopping by,
