Christmas in NYC

December 20, 2015

My family arrived from Europe on Sunday to spend Christmas with us on our new home. Exciting right? So, on their first day here I surprised them with tickets to go to Radio City Christmas Spectacular. They were so happy and excited that we were going to New York City. They have been before, but it is always a magical experience.

Unfortunately, it was pouring the whole time we were there, so I didn't want to pull out my good camera out of the bag to take decent pictures. When we arrived at Grand Central Station, I took the opportunity to take pictures with my DSLR, which is always fun to do in NYC. We were also able to snap some shots inside of Radio City Hall.

The show itself, was very similar to last year, but it was incredibly amazing and fun! My family was positively impressed and they said they had never seen anything so beautiful in their lives. Which is pretty much true. It does not get any better than that!

As for NYC, we are planning on coming back a second time during their stay here. There is so much to see and do around this time of year. The city is all decorated, the streets smell like chestnuts and people are cheerful and happy. I would love to have the chance to come back this season to take better pictures for sure.

I love how we live so close to the city! It is still kind of surreal, that we get to visit several times a year!

I hope you have enjoyed this blog post and if you are around the area you can still catch the show until Mid-January.
